GENERAL INFORMATION

The International Umpires Camp is designed as an advanced camp to recruit college umpires for the 2 man & 3 man conferences that Tony Thompson coordinates. The Atlantic 10 Conference and the College Conference of the South (CCOS), The Peach Belt and USA South.

The purpose of this advanced camp is to emphasize umpiring skills not covered in other camps, along with enhanced coverage of the 2 man & 3-man system. This camp will improve your umpiring skills and better position you to obtain your umpiring career goals!

The International Umpires Camp will extend only 40 invitations to the session. The 2022 International Umpires Camp was sold out by late August. We urge you to apply early to this great one-of-a-kind 2 man & 3 man advanced camp. The only camp of its nature in the country!

CAMP LOCATION

The International Umpires Camp will at local colleges and universities for live games. All classroom sessions will be held at the Radisson Country Inn and Suites Hotel, Stone Mountain, GA.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS

Operated by current and former Minor League and Major League Umpires. The most experienced staff available at any umpires camp in the country.
Plate work taught individually to each student in cage work.
Field mechanics taught with 2 man & 3 man umpire system.
Rules and Advanced interpretations taught in classroom skill sessions.
Students will umpire live NCAA and Travel games in 2 and 3 man crews.
Only 40 students will be accepted to be evaluated USA South, Peach Belt, Southern and Atlantic 10 Conferences tryout evaluations.

TUITION (tax Deductible)

Total cost of this great 4 day camp is $395.00 for local students and $545.00 for out of town students. The out of town tuition includes the cost of your room and tax for 3 nights. Out of town students will be housed in the Radisson Country Inn and Suites, located at 1852 Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain, GA. Each student staying at the hotel will have access to the exercise facilities and indoor swimming pool, along with a free continental breakfast each morning. There are numerous restaurants, stores within walking distance.

DEPOSIT

A $345.00 deposit (non-refundable) must accompany the application for local students.

A $445.00 deposit (non-refundable) must accompany the application for out of town students choosing to stay at the Radisson Country Inn and Suites. The International Umpires Camp will make reservations for you! Students are not to make reservations!

BALANCE DUE

The balance of $50.00 (local) or $100.00 (out of town) is due at the October 6th registration. Upon acceptance to the camp you will receive a confirmation letter with all the details concerning the camp.

HOUSING

The out-of-town tuition includes your room and tax for 3 nights. Out of town students will be housed in the newly renovated Radisson Country Inn and Suites, located at 1852 Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain, GA. Each student staying at the hotel will have access to the exercise facilities and indoor swimming pool, along with a free continental breakfast each morning. There are numerous restaurants and stores nearby within walking distance. Detailed hotel information will be listed in your email acceptance letter. The camp will make reservations for all out-of-town students. Students are allowed to reserve a single room (designate on registration form for an additional $165.00). All classroom sessions will be held in the Hotel meeting room or common area
